PIX System is a market leader in offering remote access to production content and tools that enable creative collaboration for film professionals and studios. In 2019 we have embarked on a journey together with PIX to completely re-envision their platforms for web, desktop, iOS, tvOS as well as the administration dashboard, and create a whole new generation of products.

Through a series of workshops, product sessions and user interviews, the team has learned user priorities, user journeys, preferences and feature requests, and subsequently optimized workflows, improved the usability and added new functionality to further enhance the value that PIX is offering to their clients.

In addition to the visual improvements, we also planned out and re-architected the frontend platforms and the way the different frontends communicate with the backend using modern frameworks optimizing performance and maintainability. New components have been introduced along the way including a custom-built video playback solution that offers an enhanced video experience and new functionality such as multiple play heads, side by side playback and more. As a result of our work, PIX is able to offer greater value to their customers and is faster to market with new feature development.
