Product Delivery.UIC Digital operates a solid and reliable delivery process to ensure project success. When project variables inevitably occur - scope, timelines, budgets - a thorough yet flexible delivery framework will minimise their impact and allow teams to continue doing their best work.
We understand that not all projects are the same and one size does not fit all when it comes to delivery either. But working from a solid delivery baseline, our delivery teams instinctively know where the give and take is within our process to address any challenges and changes that occur during a project. This is the craft of delivery.
Agile Project Delivery
UIC Digital has adopted agile principles to organise and structure our projects, particularly during the development phases, whilst recognising that not all clients will have fully agile budgets or deadlines. This way of working promotes close collaboration between client and our projects teams, allows for greater visibility on progress, and means teams can pivot or re-prioritise when change or additional complexity inevitably occurs.
Our project management team, and all members of our delivery team, understand this agile framework and their role within it. Our clients are welcomed in all ceremonies and meetings including sprint planning, back-log refinement, end of sprint demos and team retrospectives.
Product Ownership
The Product team includes skilled and experience Product Managers, Business Analysts and Product Owners. Whilst the day-to-day project responsibilities and output vary for each of these roles, their focus is to ensure delivery teams have a shared view on requirements and product behaviour.
Once these are captured and articulated in user-stories, our product team stay engaged with the project through to delivery, ensuring the final product is true to the vision set out at project initiation.
Handover
Upon project completion, product knowledge and documentation are transferred from our delivery teams to our clients. This is baked into our process and timelines as standard.
We ensure all technical documentation is reviewed with client teams ahead of handover, and in person training and demos are also provided. This enables client technical and editorial users to effortlessly assume control of their products for maintenance and ongoing development.
Support
The live deployment of a digital product is only the beginning of the journey. Afterall, you can only best begin to innovate on a product once it is used at scale, over a prolonged period, with users in real-world situations. Through insights gained from in-market performance metrics we can identify opportunities to continuously refine the product experience to maximise results.
We provide flexible post go-live product support and maintenance engagements that range from retained teams to hourly models.
Training
While we provide post go-live support, we do recognise that some of our clients will wish to self-manage their product estate. We support our clients with this ambition by providing practical training across each phase of the product delivery process. We equip our clients’ teams with the skills they need to successfully manage their digital products through immersive training that is tailored to their individual needs.
Project Rescue
We are experienced at stepping into a project in destress to help get in back on track. Projects can go awry for myriad reasons, with deliverables and deadlines beginning to slip, putting strain on budgets and relationships. We rapidly understand all the project dynamics and quickly devise and execute on a corrective plan to fix the route cause problems. Our core values are the backbone to how we go about fixing a project in distress that we inherit.
